CORE FUNCTIONS
As provided for in the TVET Act, BTC is authorized to perform the following core functions:
- To implement and assess TVET curricula and other approved programmes.
- To formulate, review and coordinate institutional policies and strategies.
- To promote research, innovation, incubation and creativity.
- To initiate sustainable linkages and collaborations in training.
- To contribute to industrial and technological development of Kenya in collaboration with industry and other organizations through transfer of technology.
- To promote national values.
- To Foster the general welfare of staff and trainees.
- To participate in IGA’s.
- To provide opportunities for development and further training for staff.
