Message from the Deputy Principal – Academics

The Academic Division is committed to delivering quality Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) that equips learners with practical skills, knowledge, attitudes, and values required by industry and the ever-evolving world of work. We coordinate curriculum implementation, teaching and learning, assessment, examinations, quality assurance, research, innovation, industrial attachment, and academic support services to ensure that all programmes meet the standards set by the TVET Authority (TVETA), the Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC), the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA), and other relevant regulatory bodies. Through learner-centred training, continuous assessment, and close collaboration with industry, we strive to produce graduates who are competent, adaptable, and globally competitive.

Our commitment extends beyond academic excellence to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills that empower our trainees to become job creators as well as job seekers. We continuously strengthen partnerships with industry, professional bodies, and development partners to enhance curriculum relevance, workplace learning opportunities, and graduate employability. Together with our dedicated trainers and support staff, we remain focused on nurturing a culture of excellence, integrity, inclusivity, and lifelong learning, ensuring that every trainee at Baringo National Polytechnic is prepared to contribute meaningfully to national development and the realization of Kenya’s Vision 2030.
